Some very exciting things have been happening around Neopia during the past few weeks. That's why we thought this would be an excellent time to send you an update of everything that's been going on!

Even though its release is still a few months away, a great deal of excitement has begun to build up around the arrival of Neopets: The Darkest Faerie, our first ever console game. The Darkest Faerie will be released for the PlayStation 2 in September 2005. Not only will players have the chance to guide a sword-wielding knight named Tor and his sorceress partner Roberta in their quest to defeat the villainous Darkest Faerie, but you will also be able to walk around and be part of familiar lands such as the Haunted Woods and Meridell!

In other news, talk of war has reached a fever pitch in Neopia, as Maraqua seems on the verge of yet another conflict. Despite Garin's best efforts to inform King Kelpbeard about the fleet of pirates set to raid New Maraqua, His Majesty's response to this warning was a string of accusations and a trip to the dungeon for our seafaring hero.

So, while it's starting to look like Garin might be sidelined for the start of the war, the rest of Neopia will have more options than ever for participating in the conflict. This time around, not only will Neopians get their choice of two sides (either fighting with Scarblade's swashbucklers or helping the Maraquans to protect their new home), but they'll also get to select the role that they play in the war. That's right, for the first time, those who'd rather not contribute by fighting in the Battledome will be able to pitch in as "supporters", who instead aid their side by providing weapons, medicine, and other services.

Since we last emailed, some of the biggest news stories have been:
· Attack of the Revenge - Practice your swashbuckling skills before the big war arrives!
· Hissi - This limited edition winged serpent became Neopia's 50th species.
· Neopets Merchandise - Issue 10 of The Official Neopets Magazine, Neopets beach towels, and Red Gelert plushies all hit the shelves!
